Exciting news! SORRY NOW FULLY BOOKED!
As part of our Heritage Weekends on 14/15 and 21/22 September we can offer Hard Hat tours up the up the scaffolding to the top of the Tower. It is a long way up with more than 20 steep step ladders to climb so it is most important that you are healthy enough to be able to get up and back!
There will be six tours in total, each taking a maximum of 4 people and lasting about one hour:
Saturday 14 September at 9 am, 10.30am and 12 noon.
Saturday 21 September at 9 am, 10.30am and 12 noon.
If we are oversubscribed we will have to draw names out of a (hard!) hat. To apply for a place please apply to firstname.lastname@example.org . You will be allotted a time and date unless you indicate you have limited availability. By applying for a place you are agreeing to the following conditions and at the time of the tour you will be required to sign your agreement to these terms and a waiver.

You must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol or any other addictive substance
You should wear filled in sensible footwear and must wear the hard hat and high-vis waistcoat which will be provided.
You agree to listen to the induction process and abide by any instructions given to you by authorised personnel.
The tour may be cancelled or postponed at any time if the weather is unfavourable.
Any person may be stopped from going on or completing the tour if in the opinion of any authorised personnel it is not appropriate for them to do so.
You will be required to fill in an Evaluation Form after descent.
You must be in good health, with no medical conditions which may put your life at risk (or that of others) by undertaking such physically demanding exercise.
We are aware that many of those who are Friends of St Matthew’s have already given generously to the Appeal so we have decided not to sell or auction the tour places. However, if you would like to make a donation then please do so either through our website or on the day. Your chances of getting a tour place will not be dependent on this though.
Please do come along and encourage others to come to our Heritage Open Days – all day Saturday 14 and 21 Sept and Sunday afternoons 15 and 22 Sept. For more details visit our website.
